QUARTZ Var. SCEPTER, AMETHYST

A specimen for quartz collectors and its localities. This specimen belongs from a rarely seen locality located between Oruro and Sucre, in Bolivia. It consists of various transparent to translucent scepter quartz crystals disposed very aerial on the rocky matrix. They have a more intense violet color in the terminal rhombohedrons. In some areas, smoky quartz flecks can be seen.
