This aesthetic specimen shows several globular aggregates, some of them softly flattened, which are formed by numerous rhombohedral rhodochrosite microcrystals, very brilliant and with a pretty pastel-pink color. They are disposed partially covering a dark matrix, formed mainly by hisingerite, a hydrated trivalent iron silicate that is amorphous or very slightly crystalline and which forms layers. The contrast between the dark matrix and the bright rhodochrosite gives them a very remarkable aesthetic.
