MANGANITE-PYROLUSITE

These manganese oxide nodules are a Moroccan classic. X-ray diffraction analysis has shown that they are a mixture (pseudomorph) of pyrolusite after manganite, as has been demonstrated in other Moroccan deposits with similar genetic characteristics.
