ELBAITE

An elongated fluor-elbaite crystal, with prism faces striated parallel to the main axis and defined terminal faces. Transparence reveals this sample may be a "blue-cap" tourmaline, as its upper part shows a marked bluish color difference from the green of the rest of the prism.
