QUARTZ VAR. SMOKY, MICROCLINE

This magnificent specimen was mined in the works of the AVE quarry that brought to light numerous specimens of smoky quartz and amethyst, orthoclase/microcline and albite. It shows two smoky quartz crystals, very aerial disposed, very vertical, with a certain brightness and a transparence that shows a very uniform smoky tone. A piece with pedigree, collected by Pepe Gil (Maçanet de la Selva) and later passed to the collection of Jaume Vilalta (Sabadell), both well known among the Catalan mineral collectors. The main crystal is: 5,9 x 1,8 x 1,8 cm. Fluorescence UVC (microcline).
