FLUORAPATITE, QUARTZ, SIDERITE, MUSCOVITE

On a matrix formed by several hyaline quartz crystals, there is a group of fluorapatite crystals with transparence and an intense green color. Very well defined and richly faceted, with hexagonal prism shapes truncated by basal pinacoidal faces and, most notably, faces of hexagonal dipyramids of different orders. This is unusual in the Panasqueira apatite samples. They are accompanied by siderite and muscovite crystals. The main crystal: 1,4 x 1,1 x 0,7 cm.
